Stuffed Flank Steak
 
1-1/2 Cup seasoned croutons
2 Tbl butter or margarine, softened
1 Flank Steak (1-1/2 lbs.)
2 T salad oil
1/4 tsp each dill weed and sweet basil

Sauce:
1 (3/4 oz) pkg brown gravy mix
1/4 C dry red wine
2 T chopped green onions
1 tsp each dill weed and sweet basil

Sauce:
Prepare gravy mix according to directions. Add wine, onions, and dill weed. Crush basil and add, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Score flank steak on both sides in a diamond pattern. Mix butter and croutons together. Add 2 Tbl sauce to mixture, mixing well. Spread stuffing over scored steak and roll up lengthwise. Fasten. Pour oil into crockpot. Roll meat in oil until coverd. Pour sauce over meat. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.

Note: To make it more “stew-like”, extra sauce may be made by adding 1 can Beef Broth plus 1 can water during making of the sauce. Meat will be very moist and fall apart.
